Welcome, or welcome back, to the ever humble Quest Board. We got some killer shows to talk about, and I for one am very excited for some of these, so lets get into it.
First up, we head over to a hotbed of Boston Music, Davis Square. Good Times, Rematch, and 5ever bring fun summer pop punk vibes to The Rockwell, along with Broken Head, who bring a touch of sadness to mix up this night a little bit. This one is on 8/21, and you won’t wanna miss this one!
Next up, we have a very exciting group coming all the way over the pacific and the continent, its Burnout Syndromes coming all the way over from Japan on their first ever tour of the US! This is a super exclusive opportunity that doesn’t happen often, so if you like Japanese Rock in any capacity, get over to Arts at the Armory on 8/22 and show them a great time for their first ever show in Boston!
In the third slot on this quest board, we got something for you folk lovers out there! Paul’s Place and Dud’s Dungeon are teaming up once again to bring a Folk Punk night to Deep Cuts in Medford. Featuring Chris OG, Tiny The Bear, and Ratsnake, this is sure to be a fun night. This ones goin down on 8/13!
In this next show, we got an album release tour for Oso Oso’s “Life Till Bones” bringing their strummy emo along with Born Without Bone’s indie tunes, Oldsoul’s alt rock vibes, and Picture Of Vernon’s emo bangers. Come on down to the Sinclair on 8/13 for some new tunes from these great artists!
A great band once said “I always end up starting over again” and we are ending this post exactly where we started, in Davis Square, this time at the Crystal Ballroom, for a mix of punk and hip hop, as Codefendants come down to perfectly blend these two sounds into one. Joined by Teenage Halloween, and The Punk Cellist, this show on 8/30 will give you a new perspective on the meaning of genre and how they intertwine.
With that, we have reached the bottom of the Board, and thus that’s all the quests I have for you today. But don’t worry! As per usual, I will be back with even more shows for you to feast on. Until then, Peace Out!
